Reimagining reality, Mike Kasongo embarks on a journey of conflict and hope, using pencil, charcoal and digital media. The conflict he explores invites us into the black masculine experience in western society. This sociaty suffocates the masculine-noir identity. He finds hope within by depicting a future romance and finding beauty in the female physique. This body of work is where he comes from and where he is going.
